Seventh Circuit Remands Diet Pill Case to State Court
On August 14, 2009, the Seventh Circuit vacated an order granting summary judgment against one of our clients in a wrongful death claim and remanded the case to the Madison County Courthouse in Edwardsville, Illinois. This case involves issues of whether dietary supplements caused the liver failure and death of a 42 year old woman. The opinion of the Seventh Circuit addressed issues relating to diversity jurisdiction. Our office was assisted by attorneys William Harte and Joan Mannix in Chicago, Illinois. Here is a copy of the opinion.
